TWO NOBLE KINSMEN
By William Shakespeare & John Fletcher
Theatre of Arts, Los Angeles

PRODUCTION NOTES

Featuring an international cast from ten different countries, Shakespeare and Fletcher's epic is a mash-up of the ancient Theban myths, Chaucer's A Knights Tale and their own contemporary 17th-century sensibilities.

This production took that mashup to epic heights setting the play in a multilingual fantasy world where cultures clashed, war and atrocities raged, and love and friendships are given life or death tests. A world where class and cultural differences threaten to destroy a poor Jailer and his lovesick daughter.

Sprawling and epic in scope, with a world music score the production, the show featured a host of excellent classical actors from Germany, Japan, Uzbekistan, France, Canada, India, Austria, Russia, Israel, and America.
